I (THINK we) are ready

Peanut's room is done. The dresser is finished and has drawer liners. Most of the clothes are washed. The crib has cushions in it and blankets are ready for it. Glider is bought and assembled. We have a car seat and it's installed. Amanda's bags are somewhat packed.

Amanda has some other details to finish up, but I'm finished preparing for Peanut.

Your move Peanut.

Don't forget to stock up on diapers! Lots and lots. If Hugs is going to breastfeed, I think the essentials boil down to the carseat (to get Peanut home), one or more blankets (it IS getting cooler), maybe a couple spare onesies (God's perfect outfit), and diapers and wipes (don't forget the wipes!!). Technically you could change the diapers anywhere, the rest of the stuff would fit in a basket, and that baby's going to be feeding so often the crib is going to be under-used for a while. At least, that's our experience.

I know I said I wouldn't just push advice, but I couldn't resist. The reality of having a baby is so much different than what I had planned in my head. Lots more poop and diaper changes, lots less of everything else. It makes you appreciate how simple life is SUPPOSED to be, that's for sure.
