A New Counting System

Xander has been waking up a little early this week, which leads to me quickly shuffling him to the basement where Chris is working out. So occasionally Xander will start into his own little workout routine.

Yesterday he started by jumping on his bed. "Stop jumping on the bed, Xander."

So he gets down onto the floor and does a somersault, ending with his feet against my leg (I was sitting on the floor). He started kicking. "Xander stop kicking, you are hurting me."

So he lay on his back, put his hands behind his head and started bicycling his feet in the air. Then he started counting the cycles, like in an exercise video.

"Forty-seven, forty-eight, forty-nine, forty-ten, forty-eleven."

At which point I did a double take. Did I really just hear "forty-ten"? But Xander started again.

"Forty-six, forty-seven, forty-eight, forty-six, forty-seven, forty-eight, forty-nine, forty-ten, forty-eleven, forty-twelve." (He gets lost and has to start over sometimes).

So there you have it. Fifty is out, forty-ten is in.
