Boy Meets Sister

We are predominately asked three questions when we tell people we had our baby.
1) What is her name?
2) Does she look like Chris?
3) How is Xander dealing with Josie?

Well, Xander absolutely loves his sister.

Ok, the first day didn't go great, but it didn't go poorly either. Chris brought Xander to the hospital while my parents and brother were also visiting. Xander was more entertained by the switches, buttons and wires in the hospital room than the baby. In fact, here's the only reaction he showed to the baby.

That isn't drool or anything on his shirt, he spilled water on himself earlier.

The next day, when Chris and Xander arrived to take Josie and I home, Xander immediately ran up to Josie and pointed at her and yelled "Baby!" It was such a different reaction that we couldn't help laughing.

When we arrived home, Xander was fascinated with Josie and just stood staring at her. He then proceeded to point out her toes.

Later in the day, Xander tried playing with Josie. This included, but is not limited to, trying to:
hug her,
kiss her,
give her high fives (by putting his hand under hers and saying 'five')
point out other body parts,
share his food with her,
share his cup with her,
give her his hula hoop,
yell "Hi Baby!"

We're practicing him saying "Josie" but it's not going great so well.

The hardest part is that Xander has had a slight cold for a couple of weeks. Occasionally there is a runny nose or a cough. So we are trying not to let Xander touch Josie too much. But how are you supposed to stop all of the loving hugs and kisses?
